Southwest of Lone Star Group the Channel Group adjoins. If you hike the trail past Lone Star Group and turn south in direction of Shoshone Basin, you pass the Channel Group, but will probably not note their features. Near the bridge over Firehole River a small path to Lone Star Pool branches off to the east. To visit the other hot springs and also two small geysers, you have to follow Firehole River farther eastward.
